Designer Responsibilities

The Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems for various projects.
Responsibilities for Designer

• Design and develop low voltage systems, including Fire alarmm, ERRCS, 2-Way, Security, CCTV, and Access Control
• Conduct site surveys to assess system requirements
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure low voltage systems are integrated into building designs
• Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software, such as AutoCAD
• Perform calculations to determine system requirements
• Stay up to date with advancements in industry technology and industry best practices

Qualifications For DesignerGeneral Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving history
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, for system design and drafting
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Level I

• 3-5 Years Experience
• NICET I (FA Designer)
• Factory Certification (101 Courses)

Level II

• 5-8 Years Experience
• NICET II (FA Designer)
• Factory Certification (101 Courses)
• Ability to handle “Over the Counter Reviews” with AHJ’s

Level III

• 10 Years Experience
• NICET Level III or Higher
• Factory Certification (101 Courses)
• Ability to handle “Over the Counter Reviews” with AHJ’s
• Manager Team Members (CAD Operators)
